The Post: Designer couple’s first home funded with subdivision

Beth Cameron and Jae Warrander came up with a perfect solution to get on the property ladder. The couple, who co-founded Makers of Architecture in Wellington, removed an old house from a site in Island Bay and built two in its place - one for themselves and one to sell.

It helped that squeezing modern new builds onto spare land in the city is something they’re very good at.

Making Ways FFWD Interview


Fast Forward Breakfast Interview: Makers of Architecture, Patrick Loo and Andrew Barrie

In association with the University of Auckland and the Festival of Architecture

Fast Forward is the bi-annual lecture series hosted by the University of Auckland’s School of Architecture and Planning. It aims to foster debate, discussion and development within the disciplines of architecture, urban design and urban planning.

For Making Ways FFWD is collaborating with the Objectspace Ockham Residential Series to bring this public lecture into the gallery, based around the themes of the exhibition.

Making Ways exhibiting practice Makers of Architecture is joined in the gallery by another practice and an interviewer to explore new and alternative ways of making architecture.
